  • Next day, morning, afternoon or early evening
  • A specific later date, such as before a move or a possession date

The Pickup Visit, Step by Step

Most pickups take 15 to 30 minutes in total.

Arrival.

The driver parks safely and introduces themselves.

Quick check (about 5 minutes).

They confirm the year, make, model and VIN, and check the car matches your description: whether it starts, major damage, and whether parts like the catalytic converter and wheels are there.

Paperwork (about 5 minutes).

They check your original photo ID and registration, and you both fill in and sign the bill of sale. You get a copy.

Payment.

You're paid by e-transfer. Confirm it's arrived before the car is loaded.

Loading (5 to 15 minutes).

The car is winched or driven onto the flatbed and secured.

Done.

The truck leaves. Remove your plates if you haven't already, and cancel or transfer your insurance.
